A Call to Explore

I went on a holiday spending splurge and bought one of those fancy DSLRs I’ve been eyeing for ages. Clearly, this post’s pictures show that I have no idea what I’m doing and shooting at home still sucks.

But despite all that, I hope my skills will improve because guess what? Having the new camera in my hand has sparked my hidden desire to go out and practice. Once the weather gets better, I plan to do a little exploring around NYC and snap lots of pictures.

Of course, the pictures won’t be great but I’m excited at the prospect. So, that begs the question, what to wear on such a venture?

AN OUTFIT TO EXPLORE IN

For any walking adventures, casual comfort is always the way to go so I went for the classic jeans and sweater combo. The plaid shirt provides a little color and an extra layer if the weather gets chilly.

I also added on some gold jewelry just to stand out a little.

The true must-haves for any good adventure though? A spacious backpack with lots of pockets and a good pair of Doc Martens.

Come summer, I’ll be wandering through New York City in this outfit and taking cool pictures. Until then, bear with me as I learn how to do outfit shoots without a photographer.
